  1. As an alumnus, how can I contribute to Sunway University or Sunway College?
    You can help by participating in various activities, projects and programmes organised by the University or College, or by contributing ideas towards enriching the learning experience of all students. Other assistance includes donations, sponsorship, partnership, career mentoring and expertise sharing. No matter what your contributions are, they are most welcome.

  2. Why should I donate to Sunway University or Sunway College? 
    As quoted by H. Jackson Brown Jr., “Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more”. Donations received by Sunway University or Sunway College will be used to support student scholarships, new facilities, and the University’s key research areas that can directly benefit the society such as biomedicine and health informatics.

  3. Is my donation tax-exempted? 
    No. Tax exemption does not apply to your donation. However, we will issue an official receipt of donation to you via email once the Finance Department has verified your payment.

    We will issue an official receipt of donation to you via email once the Finance Department has verified your payment. 

  5. What is the currency used for online donation to Sunway University or Sunway College? 
    All transactions will be in Ringgit Malaysia (MYR). However, if you are a non-Malaysian credit cardholder, you will be charged according to your base currency at the prevailing rate set by your credit card company. 

  6. I don’t have a Malaysian bank account. Can I still donate online to Sunway University or Sunway College? 
    We welcome donations from all over the world. If you do not have a Malaysian bank account to perform an online banking transaction, you can opt to donate by credit card instead. Please note that you will be charged according to your base currency at the prevailing rate set by your credit card company. 

  7. Is there a minimum donation amount for a one-off or monthly donation? 
    No. You are free to donate as much or as little as you wish. Any amount of donation to Sunway University or Sunway College is an investment to the well-being of the next generation. 

  8. Will Sunway University or Sunway College rent, sell, or trade my personal information? 
    No. Please see our Personal Data Protection Notice (PDPA) for assurances on how we use the information collected. 

  9. Is it safe and secure for me to donate online to Sunway University or Sunway College? 
    Yes. We use a reliable payment gateway that ensures the safety and security of online transactions.

  10. Can I make a donation by phone if I don’t want to donate online? 
    Yes, but we encourage you to take advantage of the convenience and security of online donation. You can call us at +603-7491 8622 (ext. 7618) if you would like to donate by credit card via phone. 

  11. Can I make a donation by cash or cheque? 
    Kindly contact us at +603-7491 8622 (ext. 7618) or email us at philanthropy@sunway.edu.my. All cash and cheques must be made payable to “Sunway University Sdn Bhd” for the institutions under the University and to “Sunway College (KL) Sdn Bhd” for the institutions under the College. Alternatively, you can mail your cheque and address it to:

  12. Are there other payment options available for my donation?

  13. Can I make recurring online donations? 
    We are currently setting up the means to facilitate recurring online donations.

  14. Can I donate in honour/memory of someone? 
    Yes, we welcome anyone who wishes to donate in honour/memory of someone they love or respect. You can select this option when making a donation on our website. 

  15. Can I personalise my donation package?
